TuDu Uganda Limited operates TuDu, an online marketplace connecting buyers and sellers across Uganda. The platform enables product discovery, secure checkout, escrow protected payments, order tracking, and seller tools for inventory and fulfilment management.
TuDu is incorporated in the Republic of Uganda and conducts business primarily through its website at tudu.ug and associated mobile applications.
TuDu provides marketplace infrastructure for third party sellers to list and sell products to consumers and business buyers. Core services include product listings and search, shopping cart and checkout, TuDu Secure Pay escrow, payment processing through licensed partners, delivery coordination with courier partners, customer support, and seller onboarding and verification.
TuDu is a marketplace operator. Except where explicitly stated on a product page, TuDu is not the seller of goods listed by third parties.
TuDu operates in accordance with applicable laws of the Republic of Uganda, including consumer protection requirements, electronic transactions regulations, and the Uganda Data Protection and Privacy Act 2019. Where relevant, TuDu engages with sector regulators including the Uganda Communications Commission on matters related to platform communications and digital services.
Payment processing is handled through licensed financial service providers. TuDu does not store full card numbers or mobile money PINs.
As of 2026, TuDu is in pre-launch development. The buyer and seller experience, checkout, escrow, and verification flows are being built and tested with sandbox payment and identity providers. We do not publish live user or transaction counts until after public launch.
TuDu has been under development since 2023 as a Uganda focused marketplace for electronics, fashion, and general merchandise. The team is building TuDu Secure Pay escrow, seller verification tiers, and integrated delivery tracking before opening the platform to the public.
