When you use TuDu, we collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, phone number, and delivery address when you register or place an order. We also collect payment related information necessary to process transactions, though we never store full card numbers or mobile money PINs.
We automatically collect certain technical data when you browse TuDu, including your IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, and referring URLs. This helps us improve performance, prevent fraud, and personalise your experience within the limits of your preferences.
If you choose to connect a social account such as Google, we receive basic profile information from that provider in accordance with your settings on that service.
Seller identity verification: To unlock higher verification tiers, sellers may submit government issued identification documents and a photograph for biometric comparison. These are forwarded to our identity verification partner who compares them against the National Identification and Registration Authority registry. TuDu stores only a one way hash of your National Identification Number. Your actual NIN is never stored in our database. Selfie images are not retained locally. The verification result and a sanitised audit record are retained for regulatory compliance.
